About
Javier Martén is a Costa Rican artist and landscape architect who completed his formal studies at different academies and universities in Costa Rica, United States of America and United Kingdom.
At the same time he carried out different studies and art programs standing out the Summer Programs (2011 and 2014) with the painter Larry Poons at The Art Student League of New York, United States of America, the Workshop on Painting and Expression of Nature (2013) from Nuria Durán Academy in Barcelona, Spain and The Grammar and Vocabulary of Color with Pat Lipsky (2016), likewise at The Art Student League of New York.
He has exhibited individually in different museums and galleries like Casa América Madrid and Museo Nacional Calderon Guardia in Costa Rica and has also had more than 20 collective exhibitions in the United States of America, Costa Rica, Spain, United Kingdom, Russia and United Arab Emirates.
His works are found in multiple private collections around the world and in public collections as well, such as the Embassy of the Republic of Costa Rica in Spain, the Embassy of the Republic of Costa Rica in Jamaica, the Embassy of the Republic of Costa Rica in the United Arab Emirates, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Zapadores Museum in Madrid.
